Tabriz oriental rug 312 x 387 cm

Tabriz rugs are hand-knotted with a cotton warp and weft and a wool pile, resulting in a surface that is both durable and elegant. Designs range from the Mahi pattern, which features leaf-shaped motifs, to Nagsheh compositions, which are inspired by the figurative patterns of other classic rug styles. Colour palettes vary according to quality, with finer rugs displaying more subtle and balanced tones. Knot density ranges from 450,000 to 550,000 knots per square metre.
