Terms of Service – EU Area

General

These terms apply to purchases made through mjuk.com from EU countries other than Finland and Sweden. If you are based in Finland or Sweden, please refer to your country-specific terms:

Right of Withdrawal

As a consumer within the EU, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order without providing a reason, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive. To exercise this right, please notify us of your decision to cancel via email at hello@mjuk.com within the 14-day period.

Return Instructions

If you cancel your purchase, you must return the item(s) to us without delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us of your decision to withdraw. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. You are liable for any reduction in the value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to determine their nature, characteristics, and functioning.

Returned items must be in the same condition as when delivered. Once we receive and inspect the item, we will refund your payment using the same payment method you used for the purchase. No fees will be charged for the refund.

VAT and Margin Scheme

We apply the VAT margin scheme (EU VAT Directive 2006/112/EC, Art. 315) to most of our products. This means that no VAT is charged on the products themselves when they are sold under the margin scheme, as they are typically sourced from private individuals.

However, delivery and storage fees are subject to VAT. In Finland, the applicable rate is 25.5%, in Sweden 25%, and in other EU countries the VAT rate is determined based on the customer’s delivery address.

Exception: If the item is sourced from a business instead of a consumer, VAT is applied to the full sale price rather than under the margin scheme. In these cases:

• In Finland, the standard VAT rate of 25.5% is applied.
• In Sweden, the standard VAT rate is 25%.
• In other EU countries, the VAT rate depends on the customer’s location.
