Sarough rugs are hand-knotted wool rugs produced in villages in the Hamadan region. They are well-known for their consistent quality and bold, expressive patterns. These striking patterns vary by village and often feature strong colours. Sarough rugs have a solid construction and a lively appearance. Knot density ranges from 250,000 to 350,000 knots per square metre.
