Abadeh oriental rug 202 x 196 cm

Abadeh rugs are hand-knotted wool rugs with a cotton warp and weft. These rugs are best known for their clear patterns and strong contrasts. The most characteristic design features a stylised floral motif in the centre of the rug, alongside smaller versions of the motif in each corner. Abadeh rugs are predominantly red, dark blue or white, and are firmly constructed with a knot density of between 250,000 and 350,000 knots per square metre.
