Afshar oriental rug 160 x 246 cm

Afshar rugs are hand-knotted wool rugs with a cotton warp and weft. Known for their firm structure and clear geometric designs, Afshar rugs are a popular choice. The patterns may cover the entire surface or feature large medallions arranged along a central axis. These designs often use deep red and blue tones, though some include animals or birds and a wider colour range. With a knot density ranging from 150,000 to 250,000 knots per square metre, the rugs offer a balanced combination of durability and detail.
