Asadabad oriental rug 83 x 466 cm

Asadabad wool rugs originate from the Hamadan district and reflect the area's traditional, village-based rug production. Although the designs vary widely, the quality remains consistent, with vibrant colours and striking patterns. Many examples feature continuous motifs rather than defined medallions, creating a dynamic surface. These rugs are highly valued for their robust construction, with a knot density ranging from 150,000 to 250,000 knots per square metre.
